TraceX is highly relevant to FinTech because cryptocurrency is a financial ecosystem, and fraud detection, transaction monitoring, risk analysis, and financial investigation are core FinTech challenges. For the hackathon, TraceX combines blockchain + AI + graph analytics + cybersecurity to solve a real-world problem: helping trace stolen crypto and turn complex transaction data into actionable investigation evidence.
We use a blockchain data API/RPC provider to retrieve on-chain transaction data. Our FastAPI-based TraceX engine converts those transactions into a wallet graph, where each wallet is a node and each transaction is an edge. We then use multi-hop graph traversal to follow the movement of funds from the reported suspect wallet through connected wallets. On top of that graph, our analytics and AI layers detect suspicious transaction patterns, calculate explainable risk indicators, and generate an investigation summary.
