Soleil
Soleil uses Solana as the execution and ownership layer for a SOL-only options market. Users connect a Solana wallet, review calls and puts, and sign trades themselves. A Rust program deployed on Solana Devnet validates the maker quote, records the option position, and manages premium, collateral, and expiry settlement. Markets, quotes, and positions are stored in Solana accounts, so Portfolio reads confirmed positions from the chain rather than relying on a browser database.
The project also addresses a Solana DeFi problem: options liquidity becomes thin when traders and makers are spread across many tokens, strikes, and expiries. Soleil starts with SOL alone to focus quoting and demand on the asset Solana users already hold. Its maker service handles pricing and quote publication, while the Solana program enforces the trade rules and holds the resulting state. Guard extends this into a practical use case: helping SOL holders and treasuries plan downside protection.
