The problem we are trying to solve with this app, called REVAMP, is the bottleneck of Google Maps when it comes to reviewing many places such as restaurants, turfs, cafes, hotels, parks, etc. In Google's case, anyone can give a review of a place without any restrictions, even if the reviews are from proxies or bots. Here, REVAMP comes in trying to resolve this exact problem by suggesting a trust-scoring system, from user trust to individual reviews. There will be three trust score systems: first, user trust; then comes locality trust; then individual review trust. Each of these trust scores comes from a substantial amount of data taken from the user's activities. Then, the whole trust-scoring system goes through a predefined algorithm which takes into consideration almost all the edge cases, from proxies to bots, as well as location spoofing. Finally, the review submitted by the user is measured and converted into an equivalent review based upon the review weight coming from all the trust-scoring systems.
