It uses GitHub OAuth authentication and the user's access token to securely retrieve repository data through the GitHub API and PyGithub.

The platform analyzes commit messages and uses AI to categorize commits into meaningful features, allowing developers to view the complete development history feature-wise instead of manually going through hundreds of commits. When a developer selects a feature, GitOcx collects the related commits, modified files, and relevant code/text to generate feature-specific developer documentation in Markdown format.

GitOcx also provides insights such as feature-wise commit distribution, contributors, modified files, integrations, and development activity, helping teams understand how different parts of a project evolved.
