Braid — An Autonomous AI Software Development Agent
Braid is a multi-model AI coding agent that automates the entire software development lifecycle, from an initial idea to a tested application.
Unlike traditional AI coding assistants that require developers to manually prompt them to plan, review, build, and debug, Braid coordinates these stages automatically through a synchronized, iterative development cycle.
Users describe their requirements, and Braid generates a structured plan, independently reviews it, and begins implementation after human approval. It then tests the generated code against the original requirements, identifies shortcomings, and repeats the development cycle using feedback until the desired result is achieved.
Braid features an interactive conversational CLI with specialized development modes, Gemini API for AI-powered planning and review, TigerData for storing execution history and displaying detailed report cards and model usage, and ElevenLabs for speech-to-text and text-to-speech interaction.
What makes Braid special is its ability to coordinate multiple AI agents as one automated development team, combining continuous improvement, automated testing, project-wide context, and human oversight in a single terminal interface.
